Old in so many ways — an old picture as it was made over 3 years ago, an old gumball machine as it's been around for over 20 years, and old children as they're now 29 and 32; but oh, the wonderful memories! Expectant little hands turned that pretty dial when the kids were young; but the best part is that the kids' hands still turn it, and so do the hands of their long-time friends when they visit during the holiday season. And even better still is the fact that the gumballs are the same gumballs now as then — the kids tell me they're still good!
I praise you, Lord, for the goodness of the gumball machine continuing still today!
Ah, I can see how this would evoke such memories - and especially precious as it obviously does for your grown up kids too. And what an attraction for the kids - that bright shiny classy exterior, with the highly desirable prizes to be obtained.
