I saw this little toad hopping up ahead along Old Oak Trail, but then I lost sight of it. I looked and looked, scanning the leaf litter; and then I discovered it hiding beneath an overhang of bark at the base of a tree! Camouflage — an absolutely amazing survival strategy. Nature — an absolutely amazing gift.
For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
- Romans 1:20
How they keep their eyes from getting dirty amazes me.
The verse you've shared reminds me of the song "Creation Calls" by Brian Doerksen; the lyrics move me everything I listen to it. There's an amazing YouTube video with beautiful images to accompany the song that's equally moving.
@lyndemc Ohhhh, Wow! Thank you so much for commenting and for bringing my attention to that amazing video! I can definitely see how the scripture relates to that song! The images in the video, the song lyrics - wow! In case anyone out there would like to have a look, I’ll post a link: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LwGvfdtI2c0
Wow ...such amazing camouflage, and very nice capture of this sweet little toad.
Romans 1:20 is one of my top-fav Scriptures. The AMP version says, "For ever since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through His workmanship [all His creation, the wonderful things that He has made], so that they [who fail to believe and trust in Him] are without excuse and without defense." Awesome verse to accompany your pic!
@lyndemc How very sweet of you to check on me...I am doing very well...our daughter got married last Saturday!! 😃 I put 365 on hold as we enjoyed all of the festivities, and now I’m back to it. Thank you, Denise! I’m looking forward to seeing your pictures again!
@janetb !!Congratulations to you and your family—a wedding would certainly call for a break from 365. Thanks for the follow-up note. I was hoping you'd be back. I adore your images and praises to God.
