Activity at the water’s edge kept me and my camera quite busy this afternoon. The lake never disappoints. Dragonflies galore zoomed every which way; and this one, a Calico Pennant wearing a striking combination of red and black, perched on the tippy top of a tall, slender leaf. I leaned toward it and inched closer. Luckily, my toes felt a slight drop off. When I looked down, I saw the end of dry land just in time to avoid a plunge!
I praise you, Lord, for giving me time at the lake today — and for keeping me dry.
Beautiful! Wonderfully caputred! First pic I've seen with the Nikon D850. The color is vibrant and great detail. I am thinking of purchasing, please let me know what you think of the camera.
@photographycrazy So glad to see you back!! I lovvve the Nikon D850. I had a Nikon D7100 before, and I’m finding that I can do so much more with the D850. I especially love the detail it captures, and I’m also thrilled with its low light performance. I am sure that someone with better editing skills than I have could do amazing things with its images. I am so new at editing in Lightroom, and I have a lot to learn. Good luck with your decision to buy or not to buy. My vote is BUY! 😃
what a beauty (makes me ashamed to be posting mine) Pin sharp on that perfectly poised dragonfly and such a pretty setting as the background. I agree with @milaniet, this works so well because of how much of the surrounding scene you included. Love it. Oh, and so glad you were prompted before you fell in the water.
