In 1986 during a visit to the quaint little town of Lititz located in central Pennsylvania, we fell in love with its rich history, beautiful old architecture, and charming shops and bed & breakfasts. The nearby, better known city of Lancaster with its Amish farms, rolling hills, and horses and buggies had long been a favorite destination; but something about Lititz stole our hearts. While in Lititz, we took a delightful tour of the Wilbur chocolate factory where we found glass showcases displaying antique chocolate pots; and there began my life-long interest in these sweet vessels used for serving hot chocolate. Since then, we traveled all over the world yet our love of tiny Lititz always remained in our thoughts and our hearts.
30 years later in 2016 when 26-year-old John sat talking with me about this girl he recently began dating, my intuition told me this girl was quite special. "Where's she from?" I asked. "Some little town called Lititz," he answered unaware. They married a year later.
John and Nirali visited her family in Lititz last weekend, and they went to Wilbur. They thought I'd like this crock filled with chocolates — and do I!
I praise you, Lord, for John finding the love of his life and for the reminder that there are no coincidences.
