Calm

No spring cleaning yesterday, but today I got back to it. I targeted our exercise room; and in this peaceful, Asian-inspired space, I worked enveloped in the subtle, serene scent of lemongrass. Always intrigued by the power of scent, I sat on the woven bench once I completed my work and inhaled, noticing the sweet, citrus notes of the relaxing fragrance emanating from the reed diffuser sitting on the weathered black oriental chest of drawers. Soft light from the window flooded the room and illuminated the leaves on this incredibly real-looking Japanese Maple. I love this room with its amazing ability to calm — despite the treadmill and stair climber right there waiting for me.

I praise you, Lord, for a peaceful place to exercise.
Lovely lighting and focus.

These leaves do look so very life-like. With all the mention of 'relaxing', 'soft light', 'calm', I didn't see 'treadmill' and 'stair climber' coming in the least!
The colorful backdrop to the hanger photo was a picture on my empty computer box that I use to drape backdrop cloths over or tape colored paper to. This time the box itself provided the background.
