Oh but if I had only got out there a bit earlier, I may have got perfect lenticular clouds! It's hard to capture the top of the mountain with no cloud at all - but I actually liked the dusting over the top of the moutain. It was hard for me to pic one shot today - I have taken several I liked. Hope you all enjoy looking at this beautiful mountain.
Love the diversity of your images this is tranquility it's self and is described wholly in tonal values: a bit picky and I know they are there to suggest scale but foreground buildings could be cropped out it stands on its tone alone : just a suggestion !
@paul2782 - Thanks Paul - that's a good idea - those are trees in the foreground - I will crop them and see how it looks. The mountain is over 14,400 ft and ever changing - it's a fantastic subject. I try to post a lot of different things because I get bored with too much consistency - but Mt Rainier will show up a lot in my project. Thanks for your support and always kind comments - it's so appreciated. :-)
One of my favs! I can't say enough superlatives about this. I saw this occurring but we were on a deadline to make a basketball game so no photos for me. I'm so glad I can enjoy yours.
