Rusty horse by jankoos

Rusty horse

There is a local metal artist near us named Dan Klennert. He is incredibly talented and makes the most amazing metal sculptures with scraps of old stuff. He opens his sculpture park to the public but it was closed today. I did take some pics from the road, but didn't get many clear shots.
A real rocking horse - amazing sculpture and the form is very true!

Interesting use of what would have otherwise been classified as junk.

@jankoos I have one I may post of an Indian at the entrance to the city of Lewistion ID. It is a sculpture that was made to celebrate the Lewis &
Clark trail. While it isn't from recycled materials it is very neat. There are actually several statues. I was trying to find who the artist is that was commissioned but I am not doing the correct search - but I love to see it every time I go to Lewiston.

@sansjuan - I would like to see that, Nita.

I love sculptures built form "junk," and the bigger the better! I love the detail in the horse's head. It's a great photo, especially considering your constraint of being outside a fence.

Yes, looks like your theme for the month is orange. That's a good color for a bleak month like February (bleaker for those of us who do not have flowers yet!)
