Took a walk down to the river - I had my bridge camera with me - you can't tell from this angle that the other side is deep and fast. It rises and falls quickly when it rains and during early summer when the snow melts on Mt Rainier it gets pretty high. There used to be a swimming hole upstream a little way and someone put a rope swing up. We had some serious floods in 2006 and the swimming hole is no more. We love to watch the salmon spawning in the fall.
