Does have photographic merit. Well see, good use of depth of field, very pleasant colour palate. A pattern picture that although it does not have one obvious point of focus does give the eye places to rest.
I often like a photo like this....just restful and pleasant. The composition, or lack thereof, reflects the wildflowers and their randomness. Still captures their beauty. That gives photographic merit, I think.
