I was going to take some pics of the medieval paintings inside our village church today but there were people working in there. I used to only go in for weddings and funerals, now it's weddings, funerals and photographs.
So I had a walk around the church yard instead.
I soon discovered that I had forgotten the bit that attaches my camera to my tripod so was forced to use my Gorillapod instead. Quite good really because it made me look at things from a different, low-down angle.
When I was in London last, I went to Postmans' Park. There are some headstones in there which are a few hundred years old. Obviously made of a lesser stone because the layers are almost melting away. But I was just blown away that such a thing was preserved in the middle of the city. It also showed how written English had changed. Ss looked like fs.
