lots of rushing around this evening trying to get everything done before my book group meeting (wine appreciation society.)
Of course the donkeys wanted to go in the wrong stables, the goats didn't want to go out of the stables into the rain, and I ended up being late.
I remembered that I hadn't taken a photo today so I grabbed a very quick shot of Jack and Lilly looking a bit wet, and giving me their best 'OK, we've got straw, but where is the hay?' look. Now that the spring grass is coming through their hay ration has been severely reduced.
I have always loved donkeys after reading Derek Tangye's books, about Minack in Cornwall! After shifting to a country property, we were asked to look after two donkey mums and their donkeyettes, one white! I was in heaven! But boy, they were naughty! This is a true and sweet pic of yours!
