Last night I was just about to let the donkeys into one of the stables when I noticed that the baby swallows that have been hatched and raised in there were out of their nest and sitting on an electricity cable. I expected them to fly away as soon as they saw me, but remarkably four of the five of them continued to sit there while I opened the door and walked slowly in.
Fortunately I had my camera round my neck and I was able to take five shots using my camera's on-board flash (I even managed to adjust the flash exposure level, which I would not have thought of doing had it not been for Brendan Maunder's ( @agima ) excellent flash exposure compensation camera settings challenge)
You can see from these shots how much growing they have done in the past couple of weeks:
So cute and beautifully posed for you. I love the way the background tones with them so well. You couldn't,t really set his up if you tried. Great pic!
