Raya is off to the vets today. I have been a bit worried about her since we got back from holiday. She is off her food and doesn't have her usual boundless energy.
She is nine years old and until now we have been resigned to the fact that she is never actually going to grow up. It is very strange to see her sleeping most of the time and to know that the cat's food isn't going to be stolen as soon as you turn your bak.
Hopefully we aren't going to get bad news later today.
On a more positive note, the children went back to school today. Both of them went off with a spring in their step, for which I feel very lucky. I must admit when they were smaller I used to be glad of the end of the summer holidays, but these days I dread it, and not just because it means getting back to my normal 6am getting up time.
