tangle of swans

two swan pics in two days, Oh dear! And, to my eye, not even an improvement on yesterday's shot.

Angus had a mock GCSE this morning so I took him to school and hung around Stratford while he was doing it. Took loads of photos but wasn't really happy with any of them so this will have to do.

You did well to get out alive. In my experience the swans at Stratford are a vicious bunch. I grew up in Alcester and still have family nearby.

Its a really wonderful shot of swans, and makes an interesting change to see this kind of shot as an alternative to the single floating bird we all love to capture. I really like this. love the elegant bending of their necks. FAV!

Checked on the collective nouns for swans - there are a lot but Bevy is right @fannyb and the best one for this shot. Another I liked was Drift - but no good here.
