mullions and wisteria

It's been a fantastic year for the wisteria this year. One end of our house still has some of the old mullioned windows dating back to 1597 and I love the way the wisteria frames this one.
Awesome

@rangerxenos It does take a long time to get established Dawn. This one is decades old. There are two plants on our house and the bases of them are about a foot in diameter. I think that the secret is to train the shoots to grow horizontally and to prune it twice a year. There are loads of instructions online.

@boxplayer Thank you, I have to agree with you, and having lived in some genuinely horrible ones over the years I never take it for granted.

Gorgeous. I love how you can casually mention that some of the mullions on your house date back to the 1500's. Amazing to consider the history of that one household. Also, of course, a beautiful shot.
