Avenue of red-twigged limes at The Quinta

The Lovell Quinta Arboretum at Swettenham in deepest Cheshire was the lifelong project of Sir Bernard Lovell, founder of the Jodrell Bank Radio Telescope, who developed the site from open grassland in 1948. It is now owned and managed by the Tatton Garden Society.
This is just so beautiful! Interesting history too.
