I took this shot a while back -- it's a view off Terranea toward the ocean from the pool deck with a row of sun umbrellas tied down against the wind. When I was reviewing my pictures I was struck with another interpretation: aliens arriving on Earth (the images perhaps reminiscent of the Martians in Ray Bradbury's "The Martian Chronicles" -- tall, thin, faces masked, dressed in white flowing robes). Imagine rather than us invading their dry dusty world, they came here . . . and observed in amazement the vast expanse of ocean.

After a three year hiatus (and three previous years on project without a miss) I am...
I lie your idea of the aliens.... They do look like it. Fun shot. My first thought was -- and maybe I'm not being very "right" by saying it -- they were Muslim women, but I couldn't figure out why they were all at the beach. (Then I noticed the "points at the top of the umbrellas! That notion vanished.)
