The day before the day. We decided on a nice hearty meal so I'm trying a crock pot version of coq a vin blanc (I realized after I assembled some of the ingredients for a still life and took the shot that I had forgotten the coq). Looking forward to enjoying this as we "settle down for a long winter's nap".

This is beautiful. And it reminds me of being on holiday in northern France, in a rural area. We were told it would be coq au vin for dinner. Ad then we saw the man of the house go past the window with a shotgun.
