Saw this horseshoe crab lying on a small little spot of beach the other day.

@santina @serendypyty This is the underside of the crab. I didn’t want to touch it to turn it over. I believe it was recently beached since it didn’t look dried out.

@jb030958 @jb030958 They molt their shells, so lots of these are empty exoskeletons. This one definitely isn't alive but was probably just a shedded skin. (We used to go to Cape Cod as kids, and they show up everywhere during a certain time of year)
