Figs

Finally we have figs that are starting to ripen. These 2 have been green for the longest time. They are also the only 2 on the little tree 😔so I hope that they taste good.

Enjoy! I’m sure you will savor them. I’ve never grown figs. It seems like something people are trying more and more. Honestly I didn’t realize you could grow them in our area.

Seems they do sit on the tree awhile before getting ripe. Then you have to beat the critters to them.

They're looking good. I had 12 on my small plant - all of them fell off :-(

@beckyk365 We tried them probably 3 years ago. We had a couple (maybe 2) last year and they were good. I picked the ripe one today and put it on a little white dish. When I looked at it a little while later I saw some teeny weeny ants on the plate (and they DID NOT get on the plate from my counter top because I am a clean freak)! So I don’t think I’m eating this one. 😳
