Pink pinecone?

Took this a few days ago. It was growing on a pine tree. Are the cones pink before turning brown??

Jennie, I think it is a conifer tree - Pusch Dwarf Norway Spruce (Picea abies 'rubra spicata', dwarf conifer with pink cones) but I could be wrong :)
