Copes Hut was built in the 1930s as the first 'tourist' building in the Victorian high country near Falls Creek. It is a short walk in from the Bogong High Plains road and still in very good condition. In retrospect I'm sorry I didn't make the slightly longer walk to one of the cattlemens huts not too far away as well.
