Just did not know what to shoot today so I cut a bloom from the mountain laurel and put it in this gurgling cod pitcher. These pitchers were made by Shreve, Crump & Low and were inspired by the Atlantic codfish which are plentiful in New England waters and also by the English "glug jug". When it's filled with water it gurgles when poured. It's a well known symbol of Boston and one Christmas many years ago my Mom gave them out to her adult children as gifts.
