The last sunbeams squeeze between the mountains and fall on these people at the lake. Everything else is in the shadow of the mountains, there the colors extinguished. It suited me well that the woman just spread a red towel.
STUNNING!!! I love the drama of your contrast between dark and light, and the story implied by this image. Oh, and that red towel? Perfect. @Taffy -- you must follow Jerome!
God ... so many nice comments and favs ...
Many, many thanks!
You made my day.

Phoebe - I've been only twice on this lake. I can not say with absolute certainty whether this light phenomenon occurs every evening. But I think it is very dependent on the position of the sun. Therefore, I suspose that this phenomenon is limited to only a few days a year.

Rafa and Joysabin - Rembrandt. Of course I admire Rembrandt. To call him in connection with my picture is very, very honorable. But I know that he is in a separate category, which I can only admire. One can only try to learn from the great masters.
I remember now, I promised to come back to this as I had seen on phone and knew this was not the best viewing. So pleased I remembered because it is quite a spectacular scene you have caught. It is as if you have created the scene from a play, with the stage lighting on these people. you have the ability to know just how much to reveal and how to position your subject in the frame for the greatest effect. All your pictures deserve every favourite that they get.
@helenhall
Thank you, Helen!
You are so nice. I love the way you write and think. An unusual woman you are.
My work ... everything a try - sometimes it works better, sometimes less, often a failure, very often a doubt... an endless search for the timeless behind in the constantly stream of change. I have the feeling that the way is getting longer... the time is not enough... but what is this - "time"...
