...for light into the darkness, a little warmth in the cold.
View from the mountain Dachstein to Grimming, the highest mountain of Styria. His peak has this characteristic notch. I climbed him a few years ago.
In the foreground, gleaming in sunlight, you can see the glacier of the Dachstein massif.
The mountains... I feel good, when their silence embraces me, when I feel their breath, when they give me an unobstructed view of the expanse of the countryside, when I am so close to the sky and the clouds. In the mountains I feel small and yet secure in a larger whole.
Thanks again for the many so dear comments to my last picture "farewell". It really touches me very much. Of course I did not forget you. This great community is present forever in me. I will try to post a picture every now and then. It will not be possible for me every day. But it is very nice for me to return to this friendly and warm atmosphere, to meet and be close to such kind people.
It is soooooooooooooooooooo very good to see you posting today, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I dearly missed you here in the project and I am very happy to see this warm coloured picture from the Dachstein massif. Thanks for dropping in, and share this picture. Wish you all the best. Take care!
What a delight to see this at the top of my feed, on return from a couple of weeks away. My first thought was "that looks like Jerome's work" and indeed it is. Your sunrise through the clouds certainly brought some light and warmth and it is lovely to hear from you again. With the mountain peak reaching through the top of the clouds to greet the sun, and the glacier below, receiving the warm touch of the sun's rays onto its icy surface, what a perfect representation of the positive energy and encouragement that emanates from 365 project. So good to see you here again Jerome.
Truly on top of the world. So beautiful. I was just thinking of you and your lovely photos the other day and wondering if you would return. So happy to see you back, Jerome. Fav.
Just so magical Jerome - mountains, glaciers and sunrise! You couldn't ask for a more peaceful and serene place on this earth. I'll just have to settle for my sea level photos and float in my imagination when I see your magical mountain images :) I was delighted to see that you had popped back and fav'd one of my shots the other day - so such a delight to see you back here. Please post whenever you can :) fav, fav, fav!!
Helloooooo, Jerome! What a lovely image, so ethereal and so you -- a mountain view, of course. I hope you have been well. So nice to see your image here today.
A big welcome back Jerome. As soon as I saw this shot I just knew it was yours. You are so wonderfully attuned to your mountains and their moods. Very much look forward to seeing any posts you can manage.
Thank you so much for this wonderful and warm welcome! It is still incomprehensible to me how kindly I am accepted. This community is really unique, something very special. So many dear people who love photography. I feel deeply moved.
How wonderful to see you back....a photo occasionally will be very welcome indeed. This one is stunning. You are the master of using light so effectively in landscape photography.
@helenhall Helen... Your cultivated style... empathetic, thoughtful, soulful... How nice to read again from you!
You were traveling? I hope you had pleasant days with many fulfilling moments.
Thank you for your so friendly and warm comment to my picture.
@rjb71 I try and search... Colour, shape, line, light-dark... Contrasts, harmonies... hard-soft, much-little, big-small, light-dark... Tell about the world in pictures...
Thanks for your lovely comment, Richard.
@graemestevens Thanks, Graeme! Perhaps the sea and its voices and breathing has a similar meaning to you as the mountains for me - places of inner collection and inspiration.
@gilbertwood Thank you, Denise, for your warm welcome!
In Australia you live, on the coast of Victoria. A wonderful country is Australia - but I know only the areas along the Gibb River Road. Perhaps one day the light in the land of eucalyptus forests will surround me again. I want it very much.
The sea - it gives the view free to the horizon, lets the thoughts flow and collect at the same time. The ebbing away of the waves on the beach like inhaling and exhaling... How beautiful you pictured the ocean and the rocky coast in the flooding morning light.
Oh what a lovely sunrise Jerome!!
So nice to see you visiting 365.............I have missed your talented photos!
Hope you are doing well, and balancing your life and photography :)
@radiogirl Thank you, Islandgirl, for your nice comment!
Thank you for your inquiry because of my condition. My balance ... This is actually my problem. It is not so easy...
