jerome, i really like it when you're hovering over places. this looks like you swoop near the building to get this bird's eye view. it really pleases me to see the slanted shadows. aces!
Is that a cable winding it's way down the building. The long shadows of the overspill pipes, meet that line to create an interesting pattern of shadow in addition to the flower shadows. All complimented by the delicate geometric pattern around the windows and across the building. I am liking too, the uneven surface of the exterior wall which seems to tell a tale of the town house. Fav of course.
Just love the angle you've shot this image with. The shadows of the window boxes make for very interesting viewing. Great textures on the wall from the low-angle sun.
The line that winds through the building is the shadow of the cable, which is stretched straight from the bottom up to the cut in the roof. It is very thin and therefore hardly visible in the photo - I suspect it is a telephone cable.
There are two reasons why the shadow of this cable is so conspicuous and curved: the flat incident light and the very uneven facade surface. So the shadow is very wide and forms an unusually dominant line.
The image idea was to set up horizontally the long, expressive shadows of the window flowers.
And, of course, I also like these old forms of windows - here with a great variety, the subtle ornamentation and the vitality of an old wall.
