In a late afternoon I drove home from a mountain tour. I passed Lake Hallstatt and stopped to capture this light situation: The very low sunlight could only fall between two mountains on the village - exactly on the church tower, which stood out glistening and reflected in the lake. After about five minutes this play was over. I think this result of an interaction of mountains, daytime and season can be observed only a few days a year.
Absolutely amazing!! and great timing too. I wonderif they built a church there becasue the people understood about the sunlight between the mountains.
@jerome Ein wunderbares Dorf. Ich habe auch klare Erinnerungen an das faszinierende Beinhaus. So viel von Interesse in Hallstatt zu sehen und so eine schöne Kulisse.
@Cherrill I also tend to your consideration. I can well imagine that the location of the church is no coincidence. The photo was taken at the end of December - around the winter solstice, around Christmas, when the light comes into the world and the days get longer.
Thank you all for your nice comments! I really appreciate.
