Here, too. Use to see the jumping everywhere - haven't spotted one this year. What wonderful lighting.

They are becoming less frequent here too. The more the area is turned into houses, the fewer flowers for them to visit.

it looks very serious...nice capture of that attitude!

And again... such a wonderful picture. How do you do this ??? I mean, this bug is alive... wow
June 12th, 2020
@milaniet @joysabin Yes, unfortunately the habitats for insects are also disappearing. In my childhood I always observed a lot in the meadows. I had great respect for these large green grasshoppers, even today. For me they are wonderful creatures.

@orion5d Thank you, Astrid, for your kind interest!
How did I achieve the colour character? I used a few filters, tried many variants. In the end, I chose this one.

Wow!

@jaywoods Thank you, Jay, for your kind visit!
You have so many grasshoppers? That's nice. Of course, nobody wants the swarms of locusts in East Africa, where everything is eaten bare. But I think they have an important part in the structure of nature.

Thank you for your nice comment!
I generally try to provide the insects with good habitats in the garden. I am a fan of a near-natural garden.

@taffy Thank you, Taffy, for your nice visit!

they are so lovely to watch as they jump effortlessly, way beyond one's expectation. What a shame they are diminishing in numbers. You certainly shined your artistic light on this one to draw attention to its plight.

Maybe we use too much chemicals for protect the plants?
