Para-Olympic Champion Gymnast

A single legged Long Tail Tit at the bird feeder. His condition appears to be genetic, not as a result of injury. I was concerned that the little bird had caught his leg in the plastic mesh bags which hold fat balls. I only once had to rescue a bird from these traps, since then, the bags have been removed.
And yes, the bird was OK. My reward was a serious peck on the finger!

@rjb71 Thank you, Richard. I suppose if it's the only way he's known, for him it's normal. He's got food, water and shelter in my garden.

@888rachel It's not the best of images, but it is one which clearly shows (or doesn't show!) his missing leg. He's survived the worst of winter - will s/he be able to attract a mate, I wonder?
