My "Blanket Toss" pincushion. (Blanket toss is an ancient Eskimo team effort of using villagers around a circular caribou hide to toss a hunter with good eyes up high into the air to scope out the flat tundra to see herds in the distance. Ingenious!)
So interesting about the toss ~ fascinating what native peoples did to survive in their everyday lives. It's a beautiful shot of a beautiful pincushion!
I can just imagine all the young boys clamoring to be tossed up. Of course, my daughter would have been right up there with them. Very cute pincushion and creative shot of it.
Annnnndd again.... I learned something new. And I like the fluffiness against the plain black background. Very nice contrast and it looks intriguing - makes you try to guess what it is.
