I am dark golden brown (#433). by jgoldrup

I am dark golden brown (#433).

Well, for now anyway. Photo inspired by Andrew, who got so much dye on me the last time I went in to see him that I decided to do it myself this time.

Edits: In picnik, orton, sepia, adjustable threshold, crop.

LOL....great selfie! When I colour my hair, I also colour the wall, my shirt and the bathroom rug :)

If you put some conditioner around your hairline it should keep the color off your face!

I love your processing on this - I had to break my addiction to the orton effect and not apply it to absolutely everything I shoot.

@pwallis ~ Thanks! A close-up photo of my face absolutely needs orton.

Lovely editing........cool pic!

Your hands totally freaked me out when I first looked! I thought you applied some weird effect to blur them until I realized they were gloves! I am totally oblivious to hair or dying of said subject...since I am losing mine at a rapid rate and shave what's left. Back to the photo...love it! The processing is cool and I love the upward glance at the hair. Very fun and playful! Great job.

Cool shot. I couldn't work out what was on your hands/hair at first so I am gald you explained! I love the irridescent, golden glimmer that the dye gives to your hair.

Cool selfie! The pic looks like one of those 60s humorous postcards :)

I like the way you did not show the full face. Great processing.

@slang ~ Shaving is definitely the way to go...but I have a feeling I'm the owner of an odd-looking skull.

I love the composition. Excellent shot.

Striking! Glad you told us what's going on though. Otherwise I'd just assume you have sparkly, oily hair or something. :)

@slang - I like to call that the "umbrella effect" lol

Very cool selfie. Love the way your looking up and the effect that the gloves have on your hands. Now I know you are going to hate me, but I couldn't help but think of the hair in 'Bram Stoker’s Dracula'. Just the shape of said hair- nothing else!

Dale's so right (the Dracula bit). You look so different in all your selfies - which is the real you?

This looks great! Awesome edit.

@onarom @radclyffehall ~ I have no problems being compared to Dracula. I was actually trying to form my hair into devil horns, but they kept falling over. ;)
