[K].[K].[K].

This photo likely seems totally random, but it’s not. Okay, maybe a bit. When I was thinking of what to shoot for a triple-K, I realized that my coworker (pictured anonymously here) is who/what I will always associate with the abbreviation K.K.K. (even though she’s gone by K.K.S. for quite some time now, after marrying Mr. S.). Anyway, I like that a racist, terrorist hate group is not the first thing that comes to mind for me. Of course, outside of photo project alphabet challenges, I generally don’t put much thought into what I associate with triple-letter abbreviations.

Edits: Oloneo to tonemap. Photoshop for sunflare (a recently found filter option). Picnik for matte.
This looks like an epic journey!

I have to say the racist terrorist hate group was the first thing that came to my mind but I live in a town where the KKK is still active so I'm around it(not really)

I faved this, the editing is so perfect. I like how the picture is so bright (tonemapping can make bright white pics so dull...) and the not snowflakes look so cool.

This is so awesome! And I'm glad I have a new thing that pops into my head when I hear KKK - this photo! It looks like an advert for some sort of extreme sport drink or something. Total fav!

Awesome K shot and great processing! You're tags are too funny and I'm going to have ask about "hunkered down for safety near rotating blades". What the hell were you guys doing?

What fun lighting and processing! I'm also one whose first association was the racist group so I'm glad you have an alternate association.

Totally fav'ing this, just for the processing process alone! Very cool, indeed.

@shutterbugger ~ Wildlife tracking surveys. At the end of the day, my crew is picking up her crew. The helicopter generally didn't power down for a pick-up, so rotor still moving.
