Another one from the low light session, also using a Curves preset (blue to yellow). Too dark maybe, even after moving the curve around a bit. I like that the ferry is blurred, but not that it is so centred in the frame. I didn't want to crop anything out though, especially the cruise ship at the far left [you might have to magnify to tell what that white lump is]; it was the very last one of the season and we watched it sail out of sight. Sept and Oct are the busiest months of season, bringing in more than 40 ships each of those two months. If you ever want to visit Halifax, you might want to avoid coming those months. Oh, and for a week in July 2012, the tall ships will be here...along with an estimated 100 thousand tourists! I'm excited to see the tall ships, though; I'll just make sure to keep my elbows out while on the boardwalk.
I'm currently situated in Victoria, having previously lived in Beijing, Halifax, Chilliwack, Calgary, Vancouver and growing up in Northwestern Ontario. My aim with photography is...
I remember seeing the tall ships in Toronto when I was a kid....very cool!
