This has nothing to do with the 'btr' challenges, but do like that idea so have done my own. Rules broken:
1. Subject dead centre.
2. Pink and green should never be seen, except in a washing machine.
3. Using an in-camera miniature effect (I thought it gave it a nifty fifty look) and tagging the photo SOOC. Oh, maybe that's not btr....;)
4. Purchasing a cupcake at Susie's Shortbreads. In 2011, I decided Susie's just wasn't up to my cupcake standards. But I was walking right by the place, I was hungry, and it is just an indulgent day. The chocolate Guinness icing was good, but the chocolate cake was dry. Serves me right.

Well - some rules are just made to be broken! That's a great looking cupcake - too bad it didn't measure up to its curb appeal - oh well, there was always a chance the quality had improved - I imagine you won't be giving them a third chance!
I was in Sheffield on Saturday for the day and in this little district just outside the city there were about 5 barkeries, 5 cake/tea shops and a couple of antique furniture shops and a chocolate shops. If I had been a cupcake person I would have lost it - they were everywhere! As it is I ain't (never trust anything that looks this cute to taste good) I'm more of a Bakewell tart/frangipane kinda guy. Nice rule breaking pic though.
this looks amazing and yummy - too bad the cake was dry! i made cupcakes on the weekend and it was sort of opposite - they looked like garbage (my first attempt at making my own icing) but tasted heavenly
grat shot for the paddy's day! like the idea of breaking the rules (except the last one i suppose - I too bann myself from places that don't serve nice food) must tell you that i discovered the best cupcake maker in Kerry yesterday have some shots i must post!! ;)
