On the Way to Japanese Internment Camp

We went to a fabulous concert last night "A Child of Our Time" by Michael Tippet. It was a Bach and Handel inspired oratorio re the pain of WW 2 and the way people treated each other. Outside the Hult Center where this was performed is a memorial to the Japanese who died and suffered in Internment camps. The poignancy did not escape me. This is a statue with a figure of a child on top of his belongings
Great detail and textures.

How poignant! I read about some of the treatment that the Japanese-Americans in California, especially, had to endure. Such horrible times for them!

How sad - I don't know Americans hurting Japanese in internment camps, Japanese hurting British in internment camps, British invented internment camps... It's not called a vicious cycle without good reason.
