Which Path Shall I Choose? by jgpittenger

Which Path Shall I Choose?

I can't seem to get this shot the way I see it. To me it looks stunningly beautiful in the light and shadows. Any suggestion re how I might capture it more the way I see it? Straight ahead is our fire escape road, up to the right is the steep trail up to the ridge line trail system that my husband cut out one year for my birthday and continues to maintain. My knee is finally letting me do this hike occasionally again.

Thanks all for views, comments, favs on yesterday's shots. They mean a lot to me

I find this particular angle intriguing in that my eye follows the path and then imagines whats at the end of the trail. I really like this!

I am glad to hear your knee is allowing you to hike again. I also have difficulty capturing shadows as they appear to me.

I love it as it is! On a sunny day, I always see the beauty in the dappled sunlight you get under a tree.

If you're using PhotoShop, you can create HDR images with photo merge exposure. Get the same image and try different exposure levels using PS. Then merge them together. Brings out details in the shadows and mutes the light parts a little.
