Hummingbird in Fuscia by jgpittenger

Hummingbird in Fuscia

We now have about 5 hummingbirds hanging around our feeder. I find the feeder as background disappointing and always try to get shots of them slurping the flowers instead. I was sitting on the porch swing having lunch when I saw a couple of them eating in the flower garden so lunch had to wait while I got my camera. I really like this one.
very vibrant color. i love this shot.

So gorgeous! I know what you mean about wanting shots that aren't at the feeder, but I've had no luck so far. Perhaps I should get a fuchsia.

In Ireland the fuchsias survive the winter and grow as huge, stunning shrubs, is that the case in Oregon too?
July 11th, 2013
@anwan Yes...at least where I live on the coast
July 11th, 2013
Well, I've had Oregon in mind for awhile now as the ideal climate, and that may just have decided it!
