I've been trying to sell one of my lenses on Craig's list and a person who is interested asked me to take some pictures with it so he could check on its clarity. It is a 150-500 mm lens with teleconverter so I was thinking of photos I could take from a long ways away. So, that took me out to shoot the lighthouse from across the water. I like the shot better with less of a zooming in than I took for him. I love this spot and the clouds were wonderful. Best viewed large if you have time.
Thanks so much for your support, comments, suggestions, favs
Wow I would definitely buy it but it's not just a great shot because it's a great lens, the photographer has to know what she is doing and you certainly do Jane, beautiful and a fav.
@paulaw you are ever so kind. This was not actually taken with the lens I am selling. I just went to this spot for a potential far away object to shoot with manual focus which the other lens requires when used with the teleconverter. The shots I took for him are way more zoomed in!
@macromover are you asking for craig's list in general or my posting? For craig's list in general, google craigs list and then select the state, city, what you are looking for etc. if you want my listings, leave me your email here and I'll be happy to send you the link
@soozieqt sure. I had a relative who retired from photography give me a nikkor 80-400 and teleconverter that works on autofocus. The sigma works fine on auto focus but not with the teleconverter on it. It seemed superfluous to have both
@jgpittenger thanks for responding, Jane. I can understand why you'd want to sell it then. The 150-500 would be great. I have been looking at the 50-500 too. Decisions, decisions! The cost difference is quite significant but either way, I need to save my pennies!
A wonderfully moody shot Jane. I need a 400mm but it's so hard to look at them when you live in the bush. (I should have taken some time out while I was in Sydney)
Lovely shot...the lighthouse really stands out thanks to it's colour. With the 500 x2 you could probably zoom in to get only the lighthouse in the picture...
