I am so tickled that you liked my starry night shot at the lighthouse and took it to the PP. Thanks so much.
I am posting this for critique and suggestions. One of our photo club contest themes is "green with envy". Does this seem to get that across or is it too subtle since the dinner is so tiny? Also, is the composting of images done well enough? Thanks
Here are some questions (these will seem picky but relate to your feedback questions):
1. Is the green frog supposed to be envious of the fly in the grass closer to the blue frog or the fly on its head? If the latter, could you have it look higher toward the fly on the blue frog's head?
2. Could you move the blue frog to the left a little? He looks a little crowded on the right (by his left 'arm')
3. The very green background was at odds with the idea of what is green with envy, as the grass is greener than the frog.
All that said, I think this is a really cute shot and tells a good story.
I agree with @taffy about moving the blue frog. Also, I might try to blend in the edges of the blue frog's right leg so that they blend better with the grass. The edge seems a bit too clear. On the creative side, I just have no wisdom... sorry. It has been a week. ;)
I think it's a great shot, very creative, but I have to agree with most of Taffy's comments. The envious frog doesn't look that green, compared to the very green grass, and also, if he's envious of the fly on the blue frog's head, he should be looking at it. But then, that's just my opinion. It's still a fun, colorful shot.
I love the idea behind the shot and am impressed with your creativity Jane!! I agree with most of the earlier comments especially about the green grass which seems too green to me which takes it away from the frog.
