Last shot from the concert. I wish I could have caught her more in action. She was fabulous and had her sticks flying. Since my ISO was already 6400, the action was more blurred than I would have liked plus her face got hidden behind her symbols.
Thanks so much for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs and wishes for my flu improving... I'm slowly feeling better.
@taffy@newbank@888rachel@golftragic@pamknowler. Even though this challenge has been a huge stretch, I have really appreciated it and learned a lot both about my flash equipment (not used here), about the ways black and white can really serve a photo, playing with both high key and low, and experimenting with options other than silver efex. Thanks
Wonderful light on her face!! You must be thrilled with these concert photos Jane!! I really think they suit B&W. You are lucky to have had this session to use on this theme. Fav!
I like the tight shot for the overall composition. I wish there were a little less shadow there as it looks like she has beautiful eyes and a very dreamy look on her face.
Bummer about having the flu, but glad to hear you are on the mend. I wish there were more ambient light, but you shoot in the conditions that you get. Having those sticks with some blur just conveys the sense of movement in them. I think it is effective.
The eyes are much better -- wonderful dreamy look! There is some shine now on the right side of her face, so maybe that is a tradeoff. If it is, then I'd go with the one you prefer as you can't go wrong.
