The hummers are back! Only four rufous in addition to our one overwintering Annas. They always make me happy. Internet still not working. I have to put my photos on a jump drive, transfer them to my laptop, and go someplace where there is internet to upload. Very frustrating. And totally confusing re why it was terrible all weekend when the electric company wasn't even working on whatever it is doing that interferes with our signal.
Thanks so much for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
Spectacular capture, Jane! Wow, I love the beautiful, blurred background behind these colorful hummingbirds. Such sharp focus on their eyes! This is a big FAV for me!
WOW double stunner Jane!! What a fabulous capture!! Wonderful focus, dof, bokeh, and clarity!! Top shot and I hope it gets the recognition it deserves!! Huge Fav!!
Good lord, did you direct them to pause just in front of the best bokeh backgound (alliteration) around? This is a super fav in my book and I will be revisiting it often. I have noticed some great darting movements in my backyard lately (along with sightings of baby nuthatches, towhees, and cardinals--all fledges being coached by parents!). I'm going to get my hummingbird food out but the emergence of the mimosa blossoms soon with provide them with a natural food source! Spring is here! Oh, and just an FYI, I'm posting quite a few veggie dishes (mostly raw) on the site, so if you would like recipes, let me know. I know you are partial to them and I am loving the flavors! xoxo
@darylo haven't been able to open 365 to look at others photos for days so I haven't seen yours but look forward to drooling when I can! I'm making the chicken again tonight!
Absolutely stunning shot. fav.
So sorry to hear you are still having Internet problems, it is so frustrating when it all goes wrong isn't it. Hope it can be resolved soon.

You have to send this to Nat Geo, and all those other kind of places. A great wildlife shot!
