A friend and I drove down to Bandon hoping for a good sunset and possibly a starry night. No such luck. It was foggy and the sunset was subtle to say the least. It seemed like a good time to experiment with long exposures. There was also really high and unpredictable surf so we had to take our photos from view points above rather than on the beach. I liked how a couple turned out anyway and here is one of them.

I just saw an image somewhere on Flickr that had a similar look and was titled 'hard and soft' which I thought fit the concept really well. Your image takes it a step further with the mist and swirls that soften the hard rock. Love it.
