I had to go buy groceries just before sunset so I packed up my camera and took it with me. The sunset was puny but as I was driving home I noticed the moon rise and turned off to go to the lake I swim in during swimming season. It was gorgeous. Unfortunately I forgot to check my ISO and I had left it at 3200 from shooting Rachel's concert the day before so it is noisier than I would like. A beautiful moon rise none the less. I sure appreciate how photography wakens up my noticing of the beauty all around me. Best on black.

Beautiful blues - I tend to forget about the beauty of the moon - maybe because there's no good setting to see it. But this is really a lovely scene you've caught.
