I had a hard time deciding whether I preferred the landscape or portrait view of the amazing sunset we were blessed with night before last, so I'm posting the portrait today. I really like the little curved fore-surf in this one. Which do you prefer?

Flicked between the two! If I had only seen the landscape shot I would have loved it, but for me this portrait view is stronger. I am awful at explaining what goes through my mind so will stick with a simple observation of love the depth of layers from the foreground all the way to the horizon and then up into the clouds!
tricky - landscape I think, but if this had been 5x7 ratio it would win for me (cropped to under your sig). @ukandie1 I agree the eye is drawn upwards beautifully.
Both beautiful - but I think I would choose the portrait version. It seems to give more of an overall impression of the sky and sunset and its relationship to the ocean and land. The landscape seems to let the foreshore and ocean dominate the photo. Probably would depend on what you wanted to do with the image? Both beautiful
