Shorebird Finding Lunch by jgpittenger

Shorebird Finding Lunch

Does anyone know who this is? My friend said a kildeer but it looks more like a plover to me. We found a group of them along the mudflats...now ponds...on the edge of the sand dunes. I love that he has lunch in his beak.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
In my humble opinion, its one of the sandpipers Depending on location of the mudflats as which one. Much like a white rumped sandpiper. Its spring and during migration. Its a great shot and with a bit of a catch in its beak is a splendid plus.
