This isn't as thrilling an interaction as yesterday's but they are better in focus and I like the tongue out and the spread tail feathers. They are such feisty little birds.
I am thrilled both that you took yesterdays hummers to the PP and my little frog and bug to the TT this week. What a day! Thanks so much for your support, friendship, suggestions, comments, favs
Marvelous focusing - love the spread tail feathers, too - you don't get that real often - Saw one fly through the backyard today -maybe they'll be back to stay soon. Big fav
Ours have not arrived and I'm super bummed! This is a wonderful capture of the daily battles! My mimosa is in bloom and that usually is a natural source for our hummingbirds, but no shows so far. About to put out my feeder again.
So beautifully captured, that I had to study your EXIF. To get such a high shutter speed, you upped your ISO but how do you reduce noise to get this so clear?
@jyokota I think different cameras handle noise differently. I try to not under expose because bringing up the exposure adds lots of noise. I don't think I did any noise reduction on this one but when I'm shooting at ISO of 1500 or more often I apply noise reduction on a layer and then mask out my birds
@jyokota I use on 1 photo or imagenomics for noise reduction...and yes, you need to use masks though I suppose you could do noise reduction with a brush in LR. I’ll show you how when we see each other if you rem8nd me
