Best on black. The wind is whipping everything today. My friend and Pearl and I got sand blasted on our hike. It wasn't working to shoot flowers or landscapes in the wind so i brought a lily inside to play with focus stacking and reflections. I liked how this turned out and hope you do as well. Jim works so hard on his flower garden even now with his injured shoulder and it makes him happy to see my photos all winter long so I've been photographing them diligently...NOT complaining. I think they are beautiful too.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
This is just so gorgeous - especially on the black. Am I right in thinking that the focus stacking is an in-camera process - or do you take multiple images and then combine them afterwards. It produces such amazing clarity throughout the image. Jim should be very pleased with this lovely result, it's a just reward for his efforts. :)
@robz not done in camera. For this shot I took about 6 photos on the tripod moving the focus point from nearest point on lily gradually to farthest point. Then in PS I first used “align layers” and then I think it’s called “combine layers” both under edit menu on a PC at least. Feel free to ask more if this isn’t clear
Thanks Jane! So - if you are moving the focus point the image size will change slightly? So the "align layers" would then allow for this? I'm just trying to figure out how I could manage something like this with my camera and program. Thanks again for your patience. Cheers Rob
