Our second day at Crater Lake, @taffy and @rosiekerr went on the boat tour around Crater Lake and up to the top of Wizard Island. I have an injured knee and hip so couldn't make it down to the boat ramp so @junko and I spent the day on a trolley ride around the rim and at the lodge. When we were all together again, it was clear it was too late to go to where we had planned to shoot sunset and we decided we'd go back to our cabin for some dinner. But when I saw this red sun, I said "STOP" and Kris pulled over for some shots. I really didn't have the right lens on but am still pretty happy with how this turned out.

Sorry to hear about your injured knee and hip. So frustrating isn’t it when these things stop us from doing what we want to do! Glad you stopped - this is gorgeous!
@jgpittenger Darn, what a bummer for you. You're such a fit, active woman something like that really crimps your style no end. I had a bad fall about two months ago, cracked a rib (which healed OK) but also pulled my right hamstring muscles mightily. That injury has been very slow to heal and gives me no end of trouble. In fact, it's a real pain in the bum/butt, hurts to sit for any length of time, ditto walking. Having a cortisone shot on Thursday, fingers crossed.
Beautiful shot! Crater Lake is a pretty amazing place, I was there a few years ago and loved it. Sorry to hear about your knee and hip, hope they're feeling better soon!
