Snag Saluting the Volcano

I liked how the clouds in the background seem to be smoke coming out of a volcano and something about the pose of the snag reminded me of a wave or salute. Still making my way through the photos from Crater Lake.
This week is crazy with three different trips to Eugene for doctor's appointments which end up taking the whole day each. Last night when I got home I was too tired to even think about commenting. Sorry to be behind. Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
Wonderful b&w shot - love that snag

A magical capture, the snag looks like a flipper of a seal waving. Beautiful volcano and billowing smoke, fav!

The clouds are perfectly aligned and the idea of a salute works so well with the placement of the snag in the image.

LOL Jane - the clouds made me think of a puffing billy behind the mountain. What an interesting combination of items - the victorious snag on his outcrop seems to be competing with the foggy atmosphere of the mountains in the background.
