Best on black. When I went to the Outlet last night hoping for some Milky Way shots before the wind came back, I found the new moon just setting. I kind of wish I'd brought my longer lens but even with the WA you can see the distorted moon shape as it reaches the horizon and the reflected light filling the circle. I was happy to have gone and had my camera in my hands again.

Ah, what a beautiful scene, and what placement of the Milky Way ion alignment with the setting moon! But how did you get a setting moon at 8:18 pm? I thought you might have been out all night!
